Perky1106
They're in a strong financial position. Parachute payments, tv money. Only Championship wages to pay. The only problem is they'll be trapped in the yo-yo culture with West Brom.
Day
The only problem is they'll be trapped in the yo-yo culture with West Brom. I'd rather be a yo-yo than a brick at the bottom of the river with no hope of rising to the top.
trigger
cant say im sorry to see the relegated to be honest! they were sh1te and should have never gone up in the 1st place! (a bit like us in our historic stint in the prem!)
Day
As usual I will disagree with Trig, I thought Burnley were great last season and deserved to go up. Owen Coyle worked wonders up there, I still think they would of gone down even if Coyle had stayed although they would of been better off next season than they are now with Laws in charge. Boycie
West brom are like the turds that always float to the top, whilst we are like the ones that stick to the lower part of the pan and look like they have been flushed but pop back into view at the last minute. Day
How does that rest your case? You said they should never have gone up in the first place and I disagree, Burnley were a good team last season and deserved to go up. Did they deserve to come down? yes they did, although they are in financially sound and if they get rid of Laws they will be right back up there again. CumbrianRam
Burnley could qualify for Europe, IF Fulham win the UEFA Cup. http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/europe/8653443.stm
Day
That's one bloody big if, and if that did happen Burnley would be able to attract the cream of the Championship with all the spare cash they have in the bank.
