Spot on, its a gesture of course, but how about boycotting altogether until these sites tighten their controls on who is allowed to post what.

I don't agree. Why is everyone so enthusiastic about censorship? I struggle to believe that every single one of these imbeciles writing racist abuse is using a VPN. Hate speech is a crime in the UK, why aren't these people being charged?

There is no way social media sites can afford to employ enough people to moderate everything, so they'll turn to block algorithms and those algorithms are shockingly inadequate and will censor regardless of context. I don't see why discourse should be constrained because of a minority of idiots.
