Do we have the best squad in the championship

We could play three teams In this division.

• the first would finish top 6
• the second would be lower midtable
• the third would struggle

We certainly have one of the biggest with plenty who get paid and are nowhere near the matchday 18

We have a good squad, but it's probably not the best in terms of pure ability.  But what is really nice this season, is we seem have a definite idea of how we want to play, and we've gone out and got players that fit exactly into that system.  There's no signing a Bradley Johnson because 'it was too good a deal to turn down', there's no shoehorning a player in where he doesn't really fit, everything seems balanced.  And you can clearly see that the academy is meshing up with this style of play too - the academy lads we've seen in preseason look like they can just walk into the first team and understand exactly what they're supposed to be doing.

Keepers - Butland, Federici and Haugaard

Defenders - Bauer, Pieters, Tymon, Martins Indi, Shawcross and Cameron

Midfielders - Allen, Ndiaye, Ince, Etebo, Choupo-Moting, McClean, Afellay, Adam, Imbula, Fletcher and Bojan 

Forwards - Adobe, Diouf, Berahino, Crouch, Campbell and Ngoy

 

That squad for this level is a joke and the only player from that little lot who seems close to leaving is Ndiaye and there's just a little over a week left of the window

And that's the view of the 'Pizza Boys' who run the club, hence the tension between Snakey and them as they don't see the point in bringing any more players in.  Their fans however are convinced there's a lot of old legs there and a fair amount of deadwood too.

As for Adobe, he's not a clown.  He's an Acrobat.
