Mick Harford Posted July 15, 2017 Share Posted July 15, 2017 Our former player and coach, the majestic Mr. Eric Steele, has just won the U19 European Championship with England. He can add that to a rather impressive CV of Title Wins, European Cups, FA Cups, League Cups and Promotions as a coach, as well as a fewf promotions with us Watford and Brighton as a player. As well as being influential in the careers of (amongst others) David De Gea, Joe Hart, Ben Foster, Tom Heaton, Kasper Schmeicel, Sam Johnstone, Lee Camp, Lee Grant, Mart Poom, Mike Stowell, Jack Butland and we went for Carson on advice from him. One of the best Goalkeeping coaches that there has ever been, and also one of the pioneers of the art as he used to only go to clubs such as us, Chesterfield, Wolves, Oxford and Barnsley once or twice a month as they tended not to coach keepers full time back then.
