Amongst these magical powers include time travel. He's been to the future and seen what Paul Clement becomes, and snapped him up. He hasn't got a lot wrong yet! Why? Time travel. One glitch in his time travelling exploits was Albentosa. But in the alternate universe Sam travelled to, Raul packed his innersoles before he left Spain. Wasn't part of Chris Evan's remit to have a list of recommended replacements including coaching staff? Paul Clement would have been on that list if he was doing a half decent job, he was also known to Sam Rush through his previous employment.
