Quality of The Championship

Can't tell much from game tonite, 2 real poor teams(although brightons dunk looks a decent player) sky should be ashamed for kicking off the championship with that selection. Although great moment when Tyler walker missed the ball and clattered Wardy.

Every team in this division should know how to beat forest this year from watching that mark Antonio out of the game and they have nothing else. All they div for the whole game was try and get the ball to him. Oh dear forest could be a very hard season

Brighton vs Forest probably had the biggest number of supporters / TV viewers combined. They surely didn't pick it based on a proposed quality clash between two teams expected to 'be there or thereabouts'.

It really must have been. I can't think of any other reason why that turgid **** would have to be our first game of the season other than it being a guaranteed Brighton win.

It won't ever happen, but for several years the back pages have (rightly IMO) suggested that the top eight in the Championship are on a par, or better, than the bottom Eight in the Prem.

imagine what might happen if, after the end of a season, it was announced that the top Eight Champ clubs would swap places with the bottom eight Prem clubs, with the financial incentives associated with those positions being applied at the start of the subsequent season.

It's never going to happen, but it would make for some very interesting games of football!

Regarding Gumps game. Don't begrudge either team their one chance to be top of the division for a few hours for the only time this season!
