peakram Posted August 7, 2014 Share Posted August 7, 2014 Sammons main asset is his pace so perhaps he would be better out wide as most speedy players are. Certainly his lack of control and lack of finishing / aerial ability would always hold him back down the middle, just that he looks the part for a centre forward until he actually goes on the pitch. Best apparently had one of his best games out wide against us according to the Telegraph so doesn't seem any reason why he couldn't play there too (don't think Russell was originally a wide man either). Dimmu Posted August 7, 2014 Share Posted August 7, 2014 Maybe and just maybe Sammon could man mark attacking full back. It's relatively easy job, basicly needing just good physical attributes. In the middle of of pitch it's much harder, but this kind of very special role he should fit. Best could be used in another not so normal winger role, target man against tiny fullback.
