Well surely, its the - said like theee - so it rhyms with C

MrRam sings, "they'll do for me"....which is totally wrong and stupid  but he enjoys winding us all up.

Old school, me.

Some other Gem gems (note the original lyrics)…..

"We hate Nottingham Forest,

we hate Leicester too (they're ****),

we hate 89 others

but Derby we love you."

also...

"When I was young my father said,

'Son, I have something to say' -

and what he told me I'll never forget

until my dying day.

He said 'Son, you are a Derby fan,

and that's the way to stay -

happy to be a Derby fan

until your dying day.'"

(ok, Cliff Richard may have helped with that one)

Is Gem responsible for

Bertie Mee said to Bill Shanklee

Have you heard of the North bank, Highburee

Shanks said no, I don't think so

But I've heard of The Pop Side, Derby

A classic and one I particularly enjoyed yelling.

Happy Days.

Yep.

He also came up with a Forest version (which never caught on)….

Ian Moore said to Bill Shankly

"Offer some peanuts for me"

Shanks said "No, I don't think so.

"You're not worth a packet of KP"

The one thing I miss more than anything watching Derby away is the lack of Wheildon's bus.
