trekkie_ram
Guys, I'm writing a presentation on the Leadership of Alex Ferguson (I nearly picked Clough, that would have been pretty foolish). I'm not looking for you to write it for me, but I could do with an example for each of the following headers. Any ideas? I already have some of my own, but was hoping for better ones (I've left a few in to hopefully make it clear what I'm after): - Warfighter, Courageous - Emotionally Intelligent - Willing to Take Risks - Flexible and Responsive - Able to Handle Ambiguity - Technologically Competent (such as ProZone) - Able to Lead Tomorrow's Recruit - Mentally Agile and Physically Robust - Politically and Globally Astute (such as buying Asian players for the market / global brand / pre/post season tours)

Boycie
I'd have done Brian Clough. I'm not much help though.
trekkie_ram
These are my notes (not proof read): Warfighter, Courageous - The pressure of expectation at that level of sport. Emotionally Intelligent Willing to Take Risks - Many times Ferguson has named an apparently weakened team, which gets critiscised, but then triumphs. - Pushed big players like David Beckham & Jaap Stam out of the club, despite apparently weakening the team. Flexible and Responsive - Has rebuilt a winning team over and over. Able to Handle Ambiguity - Football by its very nature is unpredictable. Yet his succeeded with regular inevitability. Technologically Competent - Moved to hire Steve MacLaren as his assistant because he recognised the impact of the player tracking tool 'ProZone', of which MacLaren was an expert. Able to Lead Tomorrow's Recruit - Max Lonsdale? Mentally Agile and Physically Robust - Pressure and longevity Politically and Globally Astute - He is well aware of the financial impact for example of the asian market. - Manchester United is arguably the largest global sports brand. RamNut
Warfighter, Courageous Tough and hard, like Taggart... born and raised in the back streets of glasgow Known to throw shoes around when things aren't going his way. Emotionally Intelligent More emotionally intelligent than a woman A rare trait in a man In touch with his feminine side. Reads Ok magazine and wears matching pink cardigan when at home with wife, kathy. Willing to Take Risks Is prepared to hit the accelerator and overtake on the hard shoulder But only when he is about to shat his pants at the wheel. Flexible and Responsive Can get his left leg behind his neck. Is quick to respond when asked if he'd like help to get out of that position. Able to Handle Ambiguity ? Or is he? Technologically Competent Can read and send emails - unlike harry redknap. Knows how to alter the cutting height of the blades on his lawn mower. Top man.
