CumbrianRam
Rangers midfielder Ian Black has been given a 10-match ban after admitting to a breach of Scottish FA regulations on football betting. The 28-year-old will serve an immediate three-game ban, while seven matches are suspended until the end of the season. The player must also pay a fine of £7,500. Black was accused of gambling on 160 matches over a seven-year period, including betting against his own team on three occasions. The SFA has a blanket ban on footballers betting on any matches. http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/24060801 Pretty light punishment, bet it would be longer if he was player for Hibs or Motherwell. Day
Doubt he will play football again anyway, can't see many managers wanting to play him
Ambitious
for betting? I'd make all my players put 2/3,000 on per game on them winning.. if his bet on his side to lose then fair enough, I don't get why they've regulated betting on football so much, why shouldn't an spl player bet on the premier league? hey, ho.. 7,500 for a rangers player must be a worthwhile chunk though, don't think they'd earn anything like that a month, probably around 2/3 months wages there.
