Curtains
http://www.fansnetwork.co.uk/football/derbycounty/fb_news.php?storyid=32036 A very good read . Last paragraph . Here’s hoping for some ‘excitement’ and imagination in some hopefully inspiring transfer signings very soon. Sam’s actions over the next few weeks will surely condition what happens in the following nine months at Pride Park Stadium
May Contain Nuts
I was expecting an unbiased article written by someone who isn't a Derby supporter looking in at us... it's on Ramzone (blimey it's still going!) and written by Paul Mortimer... yeah that really doesn't fit in with what I thought it was going to be
rammie002
Was a good read.
AndyB
Paul Mortimer generally talks good sense. I have no expectation that we will pay the going rate!
davenportram
Se we pay the average wage then?
notts_ram
Nothing that has already been commented on this forum over the past 3 months, and far more concisely at that.
weedram
An article that compares our league position unfavourably to Brighton - WITHOUT mentioning that they have the funding to spend up to 3.25 million on one player (Mackail-Smith), pay the wages of a former England international prem full back (Bridge)........................ 3.25 million needs to buy more than half our team. Hard to take the article seriously after that.
Ambitious
Brighton have more fans than us (or any other championship club for that matter) their income is the biggest in the championship without parachute payments. They have also spent (some) money wisely, they're within their right to spend more than us.
EastKentRam
Brighton are where they are cos of a rich owner who's a genuine fan of the club. Find a Derby fan with millions and millions to burn and we would be able to spunk money on players. Having a charismatic (ex) manager playing a particular brand of football also helps attract them.
