I suppose we have just got to wait until tomorrow, see what that brings.

From 12:00 tomorrow they are beggining to meet in the airport bar, I am joining them at 15:30 we fly at 20:45....

I would expect M6 to Stoke to be fairly clear of traffic when you arrive in UK - unless its blocked because of snow !!!!

Rams remain confident Saturday's game will go ahead as planned.

Derby County are confident that Saturday’s local derby against Nottingham Forest at Pride Park Stadium will go ahead as planned, based on the current weather forecasts which were available on Thursday afternoon.

Snow is forecast during Friday and as a result, the Rams have put plans in place to ensure Pride Park Stadium is ready, and safe, for the big game against the Reds on Saturday lunchtime (1pm kick-off).

The areas around Pride Park Stadium were gritted by the Rams on Thursday, as well as Derby City Council.

However, with snow expected to fall during daylight on Friday, Rams staff will be out in force throughout the day in order to clear any snow that does fall, as well as re-gritting all areas in-and-around Pride Park Stadium. The clearing-up operation will continue, if required, into Saturday morning.

The club has also been in regular contact with Derby City Council (Street Pride), who have reinforced the message that the walkways and roads approaching Pride Park Stadium will continue to be re-gritted in order to stay in a safe condition.

The Pride Park pitch is in perfect condition, with the under soil heating ensuring that the playing surface is fine and had been covered during the early part of the week by the groundstaff – while work has been taking place throughout the week to ensure the walkways and seating areas inside the stadium are safe

.

Derby County President & Chief Executive Sam Rush said: “We’re gearing up for the game going ahead as normal, and our staff have worked hard in the last 24 hours to ensure plans are in place for the game to go ahead as planned.

“Based on the information we are getting at the moment, we’ll be able to deal with the snowfall expected and the game will go ahead as planned.

“It’s our biggest game of the season and we’re determined for it to take place, and we’re all extremely excited about the prospect of a sell-out crowd heading to Pride Park Stadium.”

The club is also advising supporters to ensure they give plenty of time when planning their journey to Pride Park Stadium for Saturday’s game.

Not sure what the club can do if the snow comes down too heavily though. The reason why this country comes to a standstill when there's heavy snow is that neither us nor the authorities have the equipment to deal with it. And why should we? There's no point investing millions of taxpayer's money and our own money for something that may or may not happen once a year. No point comparing us to Scandinavia.

However, with the club knowing there are 40 plus people coming over from Switzerland AGAIN, every single person connected with the club should be working their arses off getting this game on.

I'm sure they'll be working their arses off anyway - they won't want delayed revenue on merchandise, programmes, food etc.
