I once read an autobiography "With Clough by Taylor" Which made it clear that Whilst Taylor needed Clough, Clough needed Taylor. For instance Peter took Brian to watch an unknown Gary Birtles who had a bad game and Cloughie said "don't waste my time again Peter" then saw one move which Gary made and signed him.
