Goals At Home But Not Away

Hope that isnt Sarcastic. Am just merely pointing to the fact that Formations have to be changing based on the Opposition.

Buxton - Better Physically & a threat in setpieces, but prone to Mistakes , Poor Distribution and poor against Pace. Make him be in the squad for his pros as a DMC. You get the Physicality that you need in Midfield and you have Keogh & Oconner having better Defending capabilities and Distribution to back him up.

Ward - Pros would be Pace and Dribbling skills, Poor in air and holding ball. So make him run at the defense without worrying too much abt defending in Midfield with G roberts & Buxton taking care.

Bryson is Box to Box, But doesnt Retain possesion and Doesnt Dictate play from the Midfield, Make him support sammon with Hughes coming from Deep in Midfield and holding and passing the ball either to the Left or to the Right (Same way he got involved with Coutts/Brayford for the Goal against Forest)

Have jacobs be a backup from Right Midfield or Left for the Last 20 mins and pump balls in and take care of Setpieces.

Keep sammon on not to just hold the ball but to make him run at goal with his strength to keep the ball (Goal against Watford)

We also should keep pumping crosses in so he can run and get a touch with Feet or Head (Goal against Blackpool)

Have the youth Benett/Hogannson/Obrien/Freeman play at top quality opposition when we are 2-0 down already. Make em have a Run at them. Sometimes fresh young blood will spark a comeback you have nothing to lose anyways.

All this just made sense to me thats it,

Nah mate, I wasn't being sarcastic, just some interesting ideas you have. I'll try them when I get FM 2013, see if they work... 'http://www.dcfcfans.co.uk/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/ph34r' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='' />

I'd agree to most of this though Sammon's strength is not running at defenders with the ball. He doesn't have the control or the pace to do so. He needs the ball at his feet around the box, where his intelligent passing requires a footballing forward and astute runners from midfield.

you can do that if you have Bryson coming in from the centre, Ward cutting in from Left and Brayford overlapping with the option of coutts crossing low from the right towards the near post. Sammon has the strength, make him pull a couple of defenders at him (Since they always double team him) to allow brayford the overlap option or Centre run inside by bryson or ward facing one defender on his left go at goal.

you have Hughes/buxton back to try and take the second ball back if they (Opposition) clear the defense and the Back 4 is still in shape to not allow any counter attacks.

You give options to him he will get it to work five out of ten times. thats what you can expect from him.

Making him hold the ball with no one beside him wont work he will just look like a donkey.

Major attitude has to be the fact you have to be aggressive away from home. Dont worry abt the result but play attacking football. This aint the champions league, Its NPC you will have team succumbing to pressure more times than not. Unleashing the youth is the best way to pass a message.
