  1. We've conceded 3 goals in 9 games. Defence isn't the problem.
  2. Maybe Waghorn can run around with nunchuks for added danger
  3. But put some of those players in our team, who would be earning less, and I think you get (at worse) a similar output.
  4. Is it? He lost his place entirely much of last season. Regained it this season due to recruitment failure. Did a job, but if he's touching £12k a week then that is still not value for money over other strikers in this league.
  5. Get you a commentator that's excited when his team scores as this guy. Can we sign him for Radio Derby?
  6. Mainoo is actually a really good piece to balance the midfield of Rice and Bellingham. He offers the qualities of Southgate stalwarts Henderson and Phillips, but at this stage, he's better and can do more going forward. Depth behind Kane is a little bit of an issue, as is defence. Watching Lewis Dunk whilst Fikayo Tomori is sat at home is kinda laughable.
  7. We're clearly not getting the output we should be for the wages we're paying to some of the older squad members. We know we were in dire straits 2 years ago, so it's no indictment on anyone. However, Hourihane, Smith, Collins and even Barkhuizen are not really living up to the money they must be earning over more productive League One players. I'm sure Nelson must be on a good amount but he's proven worth it... Bradley, not so much.
  8. Got sources for that? Not seen anything about paying for JJ loan, or anything that we paid a fee for Fornah or Washington (just would be something based on promotion, just like Wilson).
  9. Warne definitely said he had a back issue, but this was a few weeks ago now. He hadn't really been involved even when on the bench before that anyway like.
  10. Organises what? Bad performances and a swiss cheese midfield? Whatever attributes he still has is not worth it for how invisible he is.
  11. I'd pick Fornah with a broken back over Hourihane.
  12. It wasn't particularly that we lost on Saturday, which is obviously very disappointing, it's the fact that moving into this game and beyond, we just barely have a functional squad to call upon. Trying to pick a team for this is so difficult. Sibley needs to be utilised further forward, CBT needs to start. Hourihane needs to be dropped entirely. Ideally don't play Waghorn. Beyond that, I have no idea. Of course, it's unlikely he will even do half of that.
  13. Pretty glad he did it. In times where we have a full team worth unavailable, he won't be missed. Dreadful player.
  14. What are these subs today? Team selection poor, subs worse
  15. He’s kept Hourihane on and took off all the legs 😂
  16. Your hate for Sibley easily surpasses my disdain for Hourihane.
  17. The difference Gayle made is ridiculous.
  18. Hourihane needs to be taken off at half time, again.
  19. Be shocked if he was. Hourihane can’t press and neither can Waghorn. Warne likes to press from the front.
  20. Sort of. Barkhuizen has been coming quite deep. I think Thompson will be doing similar things, just probably without quite the same forward instincts.
  21. I mean… Hourihane has been useless for weeks. Still starting. Still captain.
  22. Many of them just the outcome of shopping where we have. They’re either old, or they’ve had known recent injuries. Only one who’s really missed decent time that’s been out of the norm has been Ward, I think?
  23. 2 of them are 34 and 35 respectively. What do you actually expect?
  24. Well… that certainly could be better.
