  1. I think he's just the latest in a long line of scapegoats for England. There is a weird obsession with alot of people wanting someone to blame with the national team, even when things are going well.
  2. Is 'chums' the correct word to use here? An alternative suggestion could be...the players that have formed the backbone of his team, that have reached a quarter final, semi final and final in the 3 major tournaments he has managed in.... FWIW I dont think Henderson should be getting much game time because of the level he is playing/training at. Maguire has been a defensive rock for England.
  3. Agreed, what a load of rubbish he was spouting last night. "I'm sat 200 yards up at the back of the stand and can tell it was a corner"
  4. Can we not just leave Warne out of one thread? Its becoming extremely boring and tiresome.
  5. Of course taking your better players out of the team you're going to get worse. However, trying to read anything into them last 2 games, which were akin to international friendlies would be very silly.
  6. Job done. Qualified for Pot One. Another qualifying campaign unbeaten. A calendar year unbeaten. Well done Southgate and England.
  7. I should stick to watching on the radio if I was you
  8. I bet Sibley feels lile he has had his nose pushed out of place, now he is no longer the saviour and instead its some other youngsters that our fans have watched for 90 minutes!
  9. A while I imagine, I can clearly recall how desperate the fans were for a bit of stability after Mel Morris...
  10. The point is, if we had experimented and got knocked out, the same people would have fallen back on the 'we needed the funds from going through' point as the stick to beat Warne with. Guaranteed. Id say starting with your first team is the logical decision of you're looking to progress.
  11. Yes I dont disagree with using the youngsters in the FA Cup. If you're going to experiment though you cant complain if we get knocked out. Only saying that as some people pointing out the funds we would have received for getting through to the next round.
  12. There are arguments for and against the quality of the division, completely subjective but I take your points on board. Personally, I dont think its any better or any worse than last season from what Ive seen. We are probably a better balanced team, when we have all of our players fit, which has hardly been the case so far.
  13. Bloody hell, 2 whole sentences without criticising Warne, things are looking up.
  14. So the same as me. I've never told anyone their opinion is wrong, how can it be, that's what makes it opinion. However, I will pull people up for making things up or trying to pass off opinons as facts if I don't agree with them.
  15. And you're very welcoming to opposing opinions are you? Well being one of the worst isn't as bad as being the worst but I'll keep on doing my best to take your title.
  16. Yes but, to be fair, you're basing that on well known facts rather than just making things up as another stick to beat Warne with.
  17. You have a different recollection of events to me. Style of play is the only thing that I remember being a concern. Happy to take your word on the rest though.
  18. You said 'its probably the worst League One in years'. So are you admitting that this is now just hyperbole, to try and make your view look more plausible, that is based on nothing?
  19. Has McGoldrick said he may have stayed with a different manager or is that just another thing you've made up? Bolton are further along their rebuilding project. Oxford spent well over the summer. Barnsley unlucky not to get promoted last season. Why should we definitely be finishing above these 3 teams? Because we get crowds over 25,000? I'm sure there are plenty of teams in the division that have played more than 16 games together too so have a more cohesive unit.
  20. No, I don't have you as one of them to be fair. Your opinions have not really registered on my radar so dont really know what your thoughts are.
  21. How many seasons did you regularly watch League One matches prior to us being in the division out of interest? Just wondering what you are basing your opinion on.
  22. If we win our game in hand we are in the play off places? Of course its a vaild discussion though but I don't see many of the Warne Out Brigade wanting to listen to any mitigating factors being mentioned, just moving the goalposts time after time and attacking something else.
  23. Of course that's the aim but might not necessarily the target that Clowes has set Warne. Not sure why you think we should be comfortably in the top 2, what are you basing that on? We finished 7th last season and lost our best player. The Pearson comparison is ridiculous, he has us sat in the bottom 3, not one place outside the play offs.
  24. Unless things are going really well or really bad I dont pay much attention to the league table. Having looked this morning I note that we have played all of the 6 teams above us already and are still within touching distance of the top 2 after what, we are told, is an awful start to the season, where league performances have definitely improved in recent weeks...
