  1. Those centre halves are superb. I reckon they could do the business next season in the Championship. Great chemistry, chipping in with goals, clean sheets. Fantastic. I thought there was no chance of pushing for automatic promotion and now we've got a great chance to aim for 90+ points on this form. Brilliant turn around by the players and manager. Merry Christmas!

Glad it's gone. Tried to freshen it up and it backfired. Part of me thinks the BBC are getting rid of their old guard who present their shows because they're on a ridiculous wage and it's unsustainable and the other part thinks they're on their crusade to tick boxes and don't actually care how talented someone is anymore. Let's give them a job because we haven't filled out that quota of specific person. Eventually I don't think they'll make shows anymore because they have limited money. It's quite clear they don't give a crap about local radio anymore and it's a great USP. Oh but we need the money to pay for Lineker and Fiona Bruce's ridiculous salary. Most of Netflix now genuinely is just background TV which you put on when family comes around and nobody gives a second look about what's on. It's flooded with some absolutely garbage. There's a gap in the market for BBC to make more low budget quality dramas like a Happy Valley, Line of Duty, Time. If they keep making that kind of show, it'll bring more viewership back to then tell government to give them more funding.
  3. I agree. I want Safe Standing to work however the poor communication really did not help the situation on Saturday. People getting aggressive on the stairs is not what you want to see. How much would it have cost for letters to be sent to all season ticket holders in the South Stand? Explain nice and clearly the procedures that have to take place in accordance with FA regs. Allow more time to get to your seats. I appreciate the club made a video with Owen but I was not clear enough how many times you would be checked. Not enough senior supervisors around on the day either. Poor all round.
  4. I don't think the whole day was particularly great for me. The South Stand checks for a start. I know they have to adhere to FA regulations for a while, hence why it had more security than Guantanamo Bay. It was ridiculously over the top. I know the club did a pre video to let you know changes were happening. I wasn't expecting to be checked three times to get to my standing position and get sandwiched in on a stairwell. The club have made the stand much safer by putting in the rails, to stop people falling over each other, yet we have to block stairwells due to all the silly checks. God forbid if there was a fire, no way would you get out quickly. Surely it was more dangerous before? Absolutely bonkers. Hopefully this will be done by Christmas or more people will get annoyed. The match itself. Typical dirty away team. All the dark arts, made more difficult by the silly yellow cards we picked up in the first half. I know the ref didn't have a good game, we made her make more decisions by putting in stupid tackles, knowing full well Wycombe were making a meal of it. Terrible game management in midfield, in particular from Hourihane. Lovely bloke but he will not be missed next season. Wants to sit in and pretend he's Pirlo, spreading Hollywood passes. Get more involved in the game. Wycombe doubled up out wide and sussed us out very quickly. Not enough play through the middle, shock horror. However, we could have easily lost the match too. A point was fair. 5 wins in a row previously, difficult to keep it up. A draw is disappointing but we're still in a good place to push up the league. Get a good result vs Lincoln then this will be forgotten about. Not too concerned, we was due a bit of a stinker.
  5. Safe standing... What a joke this is today.
  6. That hat is beautiful. That'd cover my shiny head no problem. A shame a club haven't got it, I'd have asked Santa for one.
  7. So they sacked their old manager Chris Wilder and appointed a interim manager who then dropped back into a under 23s job when they were relegated. They then appointed a permanent manager who then got sacked after 4 months. The under 23s manager then moves back up and appointed permanent manager. They gain promotion and then the club sack this manager to then potentially reappoint Chris Wilder who got them promoted a few years ago who was initially sacked and started this chain. Absolutely love football logic.
  8. Very big positive from me. I don't mind people having a laugh with "limbs" in the back of the south stand however it's much safer having the rails there, rather than a huge weight of people all falling over and hurting someone. This system just works. For folks like myself who have been standing for years now, this is a positive step.
  9. It was a 6 out of 10 performance. First half I think we all agree wasn't good enough. Second half, once we made the subs I thought the team had more energy and created more clear cut opportunities. Big positives were defensively I thought we looked solid again, we know the Wardrobe would be a handful and Cashin and Nelson on the whole dealt with him well. Mendez Laing having a really good patch of form to drag the team along. Definitely helped Collins when we put NML upfront. Negatives, midfield was completely dire again. Hourihane and Smith, one of them needs to be dropped. How many times this season are teams going to just plough through our midfield without any fightback. Hourihane wants to play Quarter Back and by doing this he offer nothing of value going forward. Smith, he shouldn't be anywhere near the midfield. Again, offered absolutely nothing and lost his man far too many times. It's a shame Fornah does not have consistent performances yet. He's either brilliant or a rabbit in the headlights. If Fornah can play some more minutes and build confidence, he'd put Smith right onto the bench. The awful defensive protection by our midfield really pours praise on Nelson and Cashin. Our two players of the season so far. If we had Sonny Bradley playing every week, I don't think we would have such a good defensive record. Anyway, it's 3 league wins on the spin, exactly what we need if we're going to get out of this hell hole of a league.
  10. David Clowes needs his keys to the city first.
  11. Niccos is excellent, not the biggest menu but the food is very good. They do a bigger range of drinks too which is ideal for people who don't fancy a beer. Shalimar Gold has cracking food but it's very expensive in my opinion. Nearly £20 a for curry main dish.
