Not really, just sign players that are capable of finishin the job in hand. I saw a stat today when southampton played man city that said Nigel Adkinson spent 3mil in 2 seasons on 15 players and won back to back promotions. And guess what, some of those players were from europe and not from a scottish sunday league, or the blue square leagues, but players that can perform over 90 minutes. i think we jus need to broaden our searching when we look for players.

3million? Is that net spend? Cos they spent 1million on Lambert and wasn't Clyne 1-2million?

The TV must have got mixed up with net spend and total spend as they got £15,000,000 for Oxlade lad so have only spent around a net figure of around £5,000,000. Which is still considerable for the Championship and League One so on that basis they should have gone up when based on transfer fees alone.

Who is defending who we brought? Just pointing out that that Southampton have spent more than £3mil on 15 players to get promoted.
