Howard is an excellent keeper, certainly better than Da Gay. he made a few howlers, for instance remember tottenham at home i know it wasn't given but still. I remember that a lot of people didn't rate him at united but they do now, de gea isn't a bad keeper, he needs time and has made some brilliant stops.
