GboroRam
My daughter has an acer and TBH the sound quality is sh1te. You'd probably need decent powered speakers to plug in via the headphone socket, if its anything like hers.
Kris Marina
Plug in headphones/speakers are the only way. Laptop speakers are always ****, no room to install good ones
Perky1106
I reckon you can get a cheap pair of computer speakers in PC World or Currys that will have a mini-sub also. Plug this into your headphone socket and you will hear dramatically increased volume and quality.

Boycie
You've ruined Dangermouse's thread Trig. I've kept off it purposely as he don't like things going off topic.

Boycie
Plug in head phones or mini speakers. I use head phones when listening to the away games.
Day
Tweak the graphic equaliser if your listening through Media Player, you can gain more volume that way depending on what your listening to. My speakers aint that bad but laptop speakers in general are *****, invest in a decent set of headphones.
