If the bid of £300ml is accepted £200ml will go to RBS,£100ml into the club, the present owners will get nothing, and will lose £140ml.

They've got to throw some money at some new players, or invest more in the academy that Benitez destroyed. Otherwise there's no interests in the project for them.

£60m penalty charge? Scary. And people think £20 is bad for going overdrawn. :p

They will still stay up this season even with a 9 point deduction, they've got too many decent players to go down.
do you mean the same players that have gotten 6pts from 21 so far ?

PS on present form they would end up with 23pts

Yup, I still think soon as they pick up a couple of wins they will start to creep back up the table. I know clubs like Leeds and Newcastle went down but they didn't have a Torres, Gerrard, Reina in their teams.

They won't make it into europe this season but I predict a top 10 finish still.

True he's past he's best but what you've got is a Scouser that will stick his boot in and get stuck in. Liverpool a confidence problem they have which isn't helped by off the pitch matters, look at Derby a couple of weeks ago and all the talk of board protests, doesn't take long to turn it around at this stage of the season.

Sometimes teams get in a groove and can not get out off it.

It works both ways, like the scum away from home last season.

If something simular happens they could be f**ked.

Torres mmm, he aint the player he was, would not bank on him, they may miss the little Israeli .
