Other than the Bournemouth game the rest of the away games were expected, Burton and Chesterfield every season and Southend because of the Alabama or whatever his name is. So to squash your theory.

Derby County will unveil their brand new away kit for the 2010/11 season next week.

The Rams will reveal their shirt at half-time in the pre-season friendly against Stoke City at Pride Park next Tuesday (27 July).

The shirt will go on sale on Friday 6 August, just a day before the big kick-off at Leeds United.

And with Leeds playing in all white, Derby will don their new away strip at Elland Road.

Rams trio Stephen Pearson, Jake Buxton and Miles Addison will be in shopDCFC for an exclusive signing session to help celebrate the launch of the away kit.

Timings will be confirmed next week, so remember to check back to dcfc.co.uk for the details.

To coincide with the first viewing of the away strip for the season shopDCFC will also be launching a new reserve and collect service with all online orders.

They always release the away kit as late as possible to sell as many home shirt as they can.

I remember one season it wasn't released until after the first Carling Cup game.

Playing Leeds away as the first game of the season is a bummer for marketing.

Boycie's pre season conspiracy is probably correct.

All clubs do it, some start the shirt sales earlier in the season and bring the new shirt out in June. Some don't bother with the sale at all and just bring out the new one and flog the rest to Sport Direct (Chelsea).

Bristol City have just released the away kit almost 2 months after releasing the home kit, and after all that wait.....

Considering we have the same shirt template for the home kit I would fully expect us to have the same again for the away kit like Bristol City. The only question is, will it be Blue or Black?
