That's what Steele is saying. I'm one of those who believe he has to play simply due to contract terms. If he was that good, it wouldn't be an issue, but he's been largely ineffective this season and he's not got much gas in the tank.

I will give him his dues though, he played well yesterday and should keep his place on merit against Boro.
