vicky-27 Posted April 1, 2010 Share Posted April 1, 2010 Derby County are said to be interested in splashing the cash for the right striker The rush to sign up Spanish striker Tonto De Abril is on before the talented 17 year-old makes his way with the Spanish National side to the World Cup. Tonto is making the trip to South Africa mainly to observe the national team and to get experience in the group stages if Spain are in a favourable position after the first two group games. Abril is expected to fly in to see the Rams play Coventry this weekend and could be signed on loan for the rest of the season, with a view to a permenant deal at the end of the season. Tonto is already starting to interest several Premiership sided but it is thought Derby have a pre arranged agreement with Las Palmas to sign the youngster in May. With 17 goals already in the Spanish second division, which is half the total goals scored by Las Palmas, Nigel Clough sees him as the man, or boy to lead the Rams attack next season...
