DERBY County coach Johnny Metgod will be part of Holland's backroom staff during this summer's World Cup in South Africa.

Metgod will be in South Africa with the Dutch as a scout for the build-up and full duration of their World Cup campaign, which kicks off on June 14 against Denmark in Group E, where they will also battle it out with Japan and Cameroon to reach the knock-out stages.

Managed by Bert van Marwijk, Holland qualified for the World Cup by winning all eight of their qualification group fixtures.

During his illustrious playing career, Dutch international Metgod claimed a total of 21 caps for his country, between 1978 and 1983.

He's well respected out in Holland, he gets to go out there watch abit of football and report back his findings, Nice little summer job if you can get it. Just hope he doesn't get shot whilst he's out there. As for scouting for us, I highly doubt it, any decent players will get snapped up by the Prem.
