CumbrianRam
Macclesfield boss Keith Alexander has completed the double signing of Ricky Sappleton and Greg Mills. Sappleton, 19, joins the Silkmen on an 18-month contract from Championship outfit Leicester. Teenage striker Mills has moved to the club on a one-month loan deal from Derby. The two youngsters could be thrown into the squad as early as Saturday when Alexander's side travel to Rotherham in search of their first win this month. The Town boss is delighted with the captures and admits he is looking forward to bringing the best out of his new signings. "Ricky has come in on loan and done well for the club," he told the club's official website. "He's only 19, which is easy to forget, and now we've got 18 months now to really work with him. "He's still young and has a lot to learn. He's a big, strong lad, didn't have a pre-season and has had a couple of injuries with us. (But) he has a good scoring record so I'm delighted with the signing." Mills joins the Silkmen having played out a solid loan spell at Blue Square North outfit Solihull earlier this season http://www.skysports.com/story/0,19528,11696_5893891,00.html
