Since Brian Clough's days, which players are sadly no longer with us?

Jeff Bourne
John Middleton
Rob Hindmarch
Les Green
John Robson
Paul Futcher
Bobby Campbell

Obviously Brian himself, Peter Taylor, Dave Mackay and Gordon Guthrie of course.

Who have I missed?

Also Reg Matthews, Ian Buxton, Gary Ablett (loan ex Liverpool), Eddie Thomas.

Can't find anything on Phil Waller or John Richardson from the early days of BC - anyone know if they are still "going strong" ?

I`ve just read that John Richardson died "earlier this month".

I didnt know Les Green had died. Missed that completely. Sorry to hear. But really out of the two League winning teams only John robson has passed away which i suppose we could have lost quite a few more of our legends.

Former Derby County defender John Richardson has died at the age of 71.

He made 133 appearances for the Rams, scored five goals and was a member of the Division Two championship-winning squad of 1968-69.

Born in Workshop, Richardson was the first apprentice to turn professional at Derby - in 1962 - after the scheme was introduced.

He formed a full-back partnership with Peter Daniel early on his Rams career.

Richardson left the Baseball Ground in the summer of 1971 to join Notts County and also played for King's Lynn.

He passed away at the Royal Derby Hospital earlier this month.

Derby County said in a statement: "The condolences and thoughts of everyone at Derby County go out to the family and friends of John Richardson at this time."
