Ramble 66 Posted June 3, 2016 Share Posted June 3, 2016 Pre season training under Clement a year ago was delayed by a week, June 22nd to June 29th. (No idea why) This meant cancelling games that had been arranged. I can't imagine NP being slack on training and look forward to a fit, organised and passionate first team squad ready for the first pre season match and then ready to hit the ground running in August. davenportram Posted June 3, 2016 Share Posted June 3, 2016 There were a few games cancelled last pre-season but only one that may have been due to the late start in pre-season training - Alfreton Town on 7th July, but I doubt that one game would really have had a major impact on preparations. The game in Holland that was cancelled for the end of July, due to local authorities not letting it take place. Quote DERBY County's pre-season game against PEC Zwolle in Holland later this month has been cancelled. The fixture scheduled for Tuesday, July 21 (7.30pm kick off) has been called off after local authorities withdrew permission for it to be staged. Derby are working to find a suitable and alternative friendly match for the same day. However, the Portuguese side have been invited to take part in an international tournament in America in late July and instead decided to accept that particular invitation. Derby will seek to make alternative arrangements for a pre-season friendly at the iPro Stadium in the lead-up to the 2015/16 season.
