Plus if we're gonna loan a striker we need one with pace.
vicky-27
Striker Jon Stead has been linked with a loan move to Derby County by one of this morning’s tabloids. Stead was left out of the Town 18 yesterday and hasn’t started a match since the Nottingham Forest game on September 15th. Stead, who earlier this week conceded he might leave the club in the near future, was previously on loan at Pride Park in 2006/07 when a Sunderland player, scoring three goals in 15 starts and two sub appearances. Well we need someone - Hulse was off the pace yesterday - sign him up !
Day
With Commons back, Dickov as backup and Porter back in a couple of a month or so do we need to use our final loan slot on another striker?.
vicky-27
Yes ! Hulse was not on form at Leicester was missing for most of the game and Common's is way off pace ! Porter might have a set back, that leaves Dickov ! can't do it on his own !
Day
One off form game doesnt mean we should go out and get another striker in and use up our remaining loan slot. The way we are picking up injuries we should wait till after the January transfer window at least.
Boycie
His head isn;t the right size for his body, (too small) thus rendering him a useless header of the ball.
vicky-27
Derby County boss Nigel Clough has confirmed he has enquired about taking Jon Stead on loan with a view to a permanent transfer. Yesterday, Town boss Roy Keane said he knew nothing of a move for Stead but was aware that chief executive Simon Clegg had received one or two enquiries. Clough said: “He is one we have asked about but I don’t think there is any movement in that direction at the moment. “We have a few targets for January we would like to bring in and if there is any way we can do that now, initially on loan, then it would give them two months to settle in and we would like to do that.†Stead was previously on loan at Pride Park in 2006/07 when a Sunderland player, scoring three goals in 15 starts and two sub appearances
