League One strugglers Wycombe have parted company with manager Peter Taylor.

Wycombe have endured a difficult start to the season and currently lie second from bottom in the table.

The Chairboys have won just one league game this season following their promotion from League Two last term.

The club confirmed that, after talks, both parties have decided to go their separate ways by mutual consent

Taylor's assistant Junior Lewis has also left the club with head of youth development Richard Dobson being placed in caretaker charge for Saturday's game with Gillingham.

Wycombe owner Steve Hayes paid tribute to Taylor for the job he had done at the club and is confident they will have a new manager in place soon.
