Uptherams
He's more likely to leave. Rotting away in the reserves is doing him no good. 24 isn't young for a keeper. He needs to be getting first team football somewhere or he'll become a Dutch Lewis Price. He has only just turned 23. That is young for a keeper. The situation for him before Carson came was either be backup or become number 1. He has no experience. So he was always going to remain backup and never get that experience. Which at some point would have lead to him having a pointless career. Now we have another keeper that has experience he can be sent out on loan to gain experience for a season and we don't have to worry about competition for Grant or if he get's injured/suspended. He needs to sign a new contract, go out on loan for the season and then we can see where we are at the beginning of the next. Which will be much harder because we will in all likelihood be in the PL. Which is why I think it is important if we can to loan him out to a championship side. Even if it's a team that finishes bottom. In fact such a team would be best. He needs experience at this level and being in a side that will be under constant threat would be ideal.

RamNut
That's completely wrong. Not even debatable. how old was shilton when he played first team.how old is ter stegenhow old must Roos be before he is given a chance for run in the first team.if we believed in him then he should have played when grant was fouling things up. craic dispenser
Explain to me why he is ready??I went to all but 1 of the games he played last season, he was hardly tested, but when he was tested he looked shakey to say the least. Kicking is poor. to be fair, Grant's kicking post-injury was woeful
