Have literally come into here to put a thread up the same as this.

Not many things about the British public make me proud to be British nowadays, but the London Marathon truly does go a long way to restore some of my faith in humanity.

I'd love to be strong enough to run one, but my brittle joints and dodgy muscles would never let me!

Yeah - I can do 10ks but that's all I have time to train for. I really don't think if I'm honest, I could devote the hours of training as I have too many commitments.

But then I see people older and far less able doing it an I wonder if I'm just making excuses.

I agree with you Mostyn. I think the event celebrates all that is great in life.
