There was absolutely no reason to be so defensive of that 1 goal lead, Clough had assembled a decent team and I thought it looked obvious we were a different class to them. Even if we'd won, it wouldn't have been enjoyable. Forest 1 - 0 Derby. Predictable performance, but shocking news which followed. Derby 4 - 4 Ipswich. You just new that it was the start of something special... Burnley 2 - 0 Derby. One of those "what if..." matches. Derby 5 - 0 Forest. We were simply superb that day, one of the games which ensured it was a terrific season no matter where we finished. The contrast between games 1 and 5 in that list is stark.
