vicky-27
Notts County that is ! FORMER England manager Sven Goran Eriksson has been dramatically approached to help spearhead Notts County's efforts to return to the Championship. The Magpies have made an audacious bid to appoint the Swede as director of football at Meadow Lane. Manager Ian McParland's job is safe, with Eriksson's role likely to be more of an advisory position. But the move is further demonstration of the ambitions of Munto Finance to guide the club back into the Championship. An official spokesman today said: "We are neither confirming or denying speculation." But the Evening Post understands that Eriksson will be officially unveiled in his post within the next 24 hours. Even being connected with the former England, Manchester City, Sampdoria, Lazio and Mexico boss is likely to open many doors for Notts. Notts do have a transfer kitty available to help bolster their promotion ambitions in League Two. And Eriksson's contacts and reputation within the game will help the Magpies attract a higher class of player, even potentially from overseas. While rookie boss McParland will benefit from Eriksson's vast experience in the game, on the international and European stage.

Day
It doesn't matter if Notts County finish above Forest for the next 40 years, Forest will always be the bigger and better club because they won 2 yes 2 European trophies 30 years ago. Nottingham Forest is and will always be the biggest and bestest and most amazing club of the East Midlands.

Perky1106
I read in The Sun today that there are six women to every man in the city of Nottingham. I wonder why on earth Sven would want to move to a city like that. I wonder out of the typical group of six women, how many are carrying guns? The word gun has an obvious, intended double meaning.
