McRamFan
I'm off to Budapest with the other half on Monday (birthday pressy), so thought I'd ask if anyone had any 'must see' or 'must do' ideas. I've researched what I can, however its always better to get the info first hand. Thanks in advance.
Badlands
The castle bit is lovely, really nice cafe's and the odd pub up there. The thermal baths are incredible, best hangover cure of all time. House of terror museum is excellent http://www.terrorhaza.hu/ if your interested in that kind of thing. It's fantastic city but i went as a group of young males so probably can't offer you much more advice. Great pubs and food, dirt cheap, easy to commute around. froggg
Yep those thermal baths are awesome, when we were there people were playing chess outside in the snow, the beer is quality and v cheap.

sage
yeh Thermal baths are the best thing. Walk across the river (use a bridge if you aren't BC). River cruise with a meal (bit touristy but ladies tend to like that ****).
