  1. I think I’d rather they draw and both drop points
  2. I guess someone of a similar ilk only left sided (if there are viable options out there) makes sense. To cover anywhere down the left side and provide balance. Sibley then gets the central gig as you say, which may be even more necessary should Bird leave
  3. He’s clearly still got enough quality to play in the prem and definitely the champ, I wasn’t advocating an immediate return or anything. Just that romantic idea of him “coming back home” before his career finishes
  4. Hearing his enthusiasm for the role and seeing him growing into it with each game that passes is ideal. Could we benefit from that change permanently? Might mean being able to sign Nyambe to a longer deal and not have to go looking for another attacking wide player in Jan, just back Wilson and get him working with NML in training to improve end product. Those two, Barkhuizen, Sibley and Ward if needed gives us some good options.
  5. I thought to myself during the match yesterday he’s so close to REALLY affecting games for us. I think once he starts assisting/scoring goals consistently we will have quite the player. He’s likeable with a good attitude.
  6. A solid 3-0 away win. 3 different goal scorers, clean sheet, vital minutes for Ward (who showed he can play the rb role but perhaps not as defensively able as Nyambe), 5 league wins in a row (scoring 13 and conceding 1 on that run), up to 5th in the table, no obvious injuries or suspensions picked up. Happy Saturday!!! 🐏 Only slight criticism I can think of is missing the opportunity to give minutes to the youngsters on the bench BUT still be a good experience for them to have travelled with and been part of a squad winning away.
  7. Would have loved him to play it to Brown who was crying out for a pass in the middle of the box
  8. Brown on for 2 mins at the end, replacing Mendez-Laing
  9. The manager has picked a side that’s currently winning 3-0 away from home. NML is part of a team that’s on a winning run in the league that looks to be 5 games on the bounce, scoring 13 and conceding 1 (so far) on that run. NML isn’t our only player as good as he is and at this point I don’t mind Bradley getting minutes if it means a rest for another player.
  10. So nearly a 4th with another counter, NML finds John-Jules who’s shot is saved
  11. Counter attack from a Leyton Orient corner, NML and Barkhuizen run into their half, NML dribbles it into the area then selflessly lays it off for Barkhuizen to score
  12. Seems to have turned into a game of attack vs defence with them just sitting in.
  13. Huge chants of “if you don’t effin bounce” and the ol’ standard “Derby Derby Derby Derby” being belted out by the away end 😊 🐏
  14. Tight call, luck on our side today? Shows they’re carrying a threat from set pieces still
  15. Bird played a good part in the build up to the second, carrying the ball forward in midfield before passing out wide to Wilson.
  16. Wilson crosses along the area, Hourihane (god he’s rubbish him) turns a lovely delicate pass into NML’s path on the left and he sweeps a shot home!
  17. I think Collins will score today if we keep creating chances. It’s good to know we have got John-Jules to come on if it’s not happening for Collins
  18. Think it’s worth taking him off if Fornah is fit enough, or….give Fapetu a chance
  19. Need to put another of these chances away asap after half time just in case they do
