Thousands of fans running over the pitch might do damage to the playing surface. Actually, now I think about it, it would probably improve it.

Massive credit for the goals yesterday, exactly what we needed from the centre halves (chipping in with goals from set pieces). Yesterday he won one tackle, one block, and one headed clearance. Compared to Cash who won 4 out of 6 tackles, made one block and 6 clearances (3 by headers) and Nelson who who 2 of 2 tackles, and made 3 clearances (one by heading) then it's clear his defensive game was lacking. Arguably he was carried by his colleagues, and people have said in the past. That being said, there wasn't really that much defending to do. He wasn't beaten all game, and maybe he'd have more defensive contributions if we'd played a better side. Most importantly, he seems to have cut out his mistakes, and managed to stay on the pitch for 90 minutes without losing his head. So fair play to him.

Imagine where we'd be it we'd had a decent start, and a bit more luck with injuries. Hopefully next time we beat this record it'll be in a higher league, where it'll mean even more.

I've been at the last 2 promotion games. We better not go up this weekend, I want it to be on the last day. I mean, I'd be over the moon, but still.

It's good to hear his insight of who does what at the training ground. He also gives good insights on how we work to retain the ball, winning a throw in off the back of another throw for example. He does sound a bit more knowledgeable than Barker, but then barker might have his own style where he presents to football fans, rather than football experts. If none of that makes sense, it's because I'm three beers in YOU RAMS
