  1. The standard of this league is awful and weve not been in the top 6 and you’re happy with that.
  2. So PW contradicts himself then. If they are the facts, why hasn’t he introduced the young ones? I’m sorry but try and defend that one.
  3. And. You’re too blind to see this as an opportunity to bring in academy players and blood them. It’s not all about the results.
  4. I can’t see that Matt Hale has moved home, left his family behind just to see his players have no pathway. Warne says he would play the academy boys if we had a healthy lead. The trouble is, he struggles to get his teams into a healthy lead 🤣
  5. It's unbelievable. That's like saying to David Clowes 'you might as well close the academy and save your money'. I wonder what the academy manager and coaches think to that.
  6. One word - patronising. He will never have any intention of using the academy - he doesn't care one bit about trying to develop players but that's because he doesn't have a clue about developing. Rubbish coach - get rid.
  7. Or, last night should never have happened and we should be beating them in the first game.
  8. If you was an academy player at Derby right now, would you be thinking there was a real pathway to the first team? The damage being done across the club is ridiculous.
  9. Do you know what, after hearing the news of B4 over the weekend, my attitude to a lot of things will change, especially DCFC. Walking away from the ground on Saturday after the game (before hearing about B4 passing), i felt more positive about the team. I'll certainly keep that positivity going now because nothing would give us all more pleasure than to see Derby promoted in memory of Daniel.
  10. Over 9 years ago I took my lad to his first away game. Charlton, midweek in the 6 weeks holidays. A game I’ll never forget. He was only 5 at the time. I could see that as soon as we walked into the ground, he might struggle with just how loud it was. We got to our seat and the game just about to kick off and everybody standing. He was only 4 foot tall so I told him to stand on his seat. He still couldn’t see properly but at least it was better. The next minute, a friendly face appeared offering us both a sweet, unbeknown to me at the time it was B4 - my lad then fell down the back of his seat hurting both his legs. B4 was straight there making sure he was OK and for the next 90 minutes made regular check ins with him to see if he was OK and reassuring him not all games are like that. At HT we spoke at length and swapped user ID’s on dcfcfans. The next day I received the below message direct from Daniel. It epitomises everything about the guy and from that moment, he’s always held a special place in my heart and always will do. Not many like him but I’m so glad our paths crossed that night. RIP buddy, DCFC won’t be the same place without you. 💙💙
  11. Can we have the B4 Match Thread so he is with us every single game we play?
  12. Ah this is terrible news. One of my favourite posters of all time. Even if Derby were in the conference he wouldn’t have been any different. RIP Daniel xx
  13. That was more like it. First game I’ve enjoyed all season. Could have been more than 3, they wouldn’t have had any arguments. Why do wins like that make you look at the table and think we can still win this 🤣 #footballfansarefickleespeciallyme
  14. With the hype around the academy after this week, I thought it was only right to give this game it's own topic. Mansfield U18s V's Derby County U18s Friday 10th November 2023 One Call Stadium, Mansfield 19.00pm KO Live on RamsTV Facebook or something similar - but why watch it on there when you can watch the game in person for only small change. Get tickets here LINK A game every club likes to go far in - Derby haven't had a good run in this competition for a few seasons but reasons we know why. Let's give the lads the support they need and hope for a home tie next round. COYR
  15. Possibly only involved when PW met Clowes just over a week ago. The hunger shown from the academy last night is what we’ve been missing in a lot of games. Players who want to excel and prove they are professional wannabe’s. Not some player who nearly past it who probably doesn’t give two hoots about DCFC. The excitement around the supporter base after seeing some of the younger lads is what being a supporter should be like.
  16. Great to see the academy utilised. Those boys will walk away from that stadium as tall as anything tonight and none of them looked out of place. Well done PW for trusting them.
