HT Bristol are seriously poor, but are starting to get a grip on midfield and coming into the game a bit more. We started fairly well, but there’s no real link between attack and midfield. Hourihane is playing some decent passes, but we miss Birds mobility to link up with the attack. Hopefully we can find a way to get a bit more cohesion in that final third. An obvious solution would be to bring an extra midfielder in. We need to offer more threat!

Hmmmmm. Did the job and got the three points which is all that matters. Performance wasn’t the greatest, against one of the poorest teams we’ve seen at home. Ward and Sibleys performances were big positives, Gayle got an goal and we created more chances than the last few games combined. Bit concerned about the isolation of Gayle though. Playing three CB’s means we haven’t got an attacking midfielder to work around him and link the midfield and attack leaving him feeding off scraps which isn’t his game. Against better teams this will be an even bigger issue, we need to work out how to utilise his talents better. Big couple of weeks coming up, hopefully we can keep improving!

Bradley got lucky there made a hash of it twice
