MuespachRam
Good afternoon everyone. As some of you will know, I am an ex pat Derby fan living just on the border of France and Switzerland. Recently I found out about a guy from Duffield, who was attempting to run from Duffield to his birthplace in Northern Switzerland for Breast Cancer awareness. I contacted him and we arranged to meet up this weekend and I kept him company by running with him for 20 miles of the 800 miles that he completed. So far he has raised over 21,000 pounds, an astonishing acheivemnet I am sure you will agree. Please, if you have a spare pound, go to his website and donate it.....as you will see from the pictures, I managed to get the Derbyshire flag hung up in Switzerland for the end of the run party...the locals loved it, it is now proudly raised in their village permanently..!! Spreading the word..! (The global brand that Mr Glick talks about I am sure) Anyway, here is the link. PBW Ram
Top effort from him and superb from you to get involved Muespach. 20 miles is still a fair trek. There'll be a small donation on it's way in an hour or two, I'm not saying I'm out of shape but I'm off training now so that I can cycle to the shops by the end of the summer without stopping to catch my breath. Derby to Switzerland. Blimey Charlie.

Derby to Switzerland. Blimey Charlie. Believe me the little run I did was exhausting.....and he has averaged 26.02 miles every day for the last 30 days, unbelievable effort by him. His little village in Switzerland made myself and my wife so welcome too, everyone was so kind. Plenty of tears floating around at the end, really emotional for everyone there. Great to see the links between Switzerland and Derby continuing.! Keep up the biking....maybe you can bike to Switzerland!!
