I think it's more like the way we're playing.

We've been about hard work and digging in. Not a great deal of quality in any game other than v Barnsley. In possession we've been poor. Our build up play has been patchy. We've been pretending Steve Davies is a target man.

That's not great for Maguire and Cywka. They're hardly players that are going to be of much use digging in. Their hard work is all movement and dribbling. Not really tracking runs and sitting deep.

Maybe if the team begins to show some confidence through their play (might take the return of Barker, Green, Bailey, Brayford) and begin to look more dominant in games we'll see more of Maguire and Cywka (who's now playing due to injuries ofcourse).

Bit like Bueno last season. Bueno was surely our best player. But there was many times when that would of been hard to believe because it was just so hard for him to use his ability. He wouldn't dig in. So therefore was benched.

Maguire is a Cywka/Bueno/Commons type. You want him in possession 25yards from goal. But other than that they don't give the team much else.

Given that, how would you work Maguire into the team? Are we playing in a way that accomodates him?

He'll get a chance at some point. Nigel rocked the boat when we was doing well last season (Moore prefered of Kuqi broke a winning team). Now he's keeping the ship steady and it's working, we shouldn't worry too much about who's not making the team.

I agree with all that apart from the Moore/Kuqi thing, Kuqi was only ever a short term prospect.

McGuire is a Commons type, very talented, great technique but his work-rate is not what Nigel wants at the present time. He will certainly be a crowd pleaser when he gets his chance but how will he fit in.

How do you know what type of player he is and how he would fit in?

All we've got to go on is half a game against Burton.
