Any type of award for Savage looked out of reach earlier this season when he was left out of the Rams squad and was looking for a loan move to lower league clubs. Robbie was saved from the scrap heap, so to speak, by Nigel Clough and has managed to get the best out of Savage during his time at the club and was again pleased to see one of his senior players rewarded for his hard work. Savage, ever bashful thanked the supporters for their support and went on to say "At last they now recognise that I am a World Class player", tongue in cheek, of course!.
