GeneralRam
I went to Northumbria uni up in Newcastle. My first priorities were closest to the city centre and catered incase I blew all my money on beer. Ended up out 5 nights a week and had the time of my life the first year. I also went with the proper "halls" rather then a group of flats. That way you ain't just around 4-6 people all year. Your around hundreds and get to pick and choose who you knock about with. Perky1106
A good location is the key thing so you're close to the amneties you need such as a Kebab shop and a bar.
WilkoRam
Head for Headlingley my friend. It is a student haven. Wall to wall students, pubs and take-aways. And make sure you attempt the Otley Run, I made it to the pack horse (didn't get a drink there, apparently walked straight through the pub before falling into a bush and being taken home). WorksopRam
Sorting it out now.. Do I go for mixed gender flats or male only? Instinct says mixed, but what type of girls would also choose mixed? Thinking male only now

Although i can see the benefits on an all lads flat, tough decision.
WorksopRam
I've gone all lads, be more of a laugh I think and girls piss me off if not in moderation! They'll always be some across the hall up for grabs..
EastKentRam
Will be better for nights out i reckon, should be good banter, fair choice. In an all lads house next year and looking forward to that more than i was for going in to halls.
