I'd say it very much depends on your internet usage. If you play online games, download a lot, or crucially stream or want to stream HD TV then it is worth getting as ideally you need 20mb+ download speeds. Generally you will get closer to the advertised download speeds with fibre optic. There are only pros compared to standard copper wiring broadband. The question is if you are willing to pay for it. Day Posted March 2, 2011 Share Posted March 2, 2011 I've only got 10mb broadband and I'm able to play COD online, download films (legally of course) in 45mins, Albums in 15mins that does me fine. 20mb+ would be nice to make those downloads that bit quicker but 10mb is plenty.
