CumbrianRam
A Derby County XI will make the short journey to Belper Town this evening. Manager Nigel Clough has named striker Rob Hulse in the starting XI, as well as Jake Buxton, Dean Moxey, Ben Pringle, Luke Varney and David Martin. Buxton is still gaining vital match practise after making his return to action last week after a groin operation at the end of June. Fellow Defender Shaun Barker is not quite ready for a return just yet as he continues to be eased back into training after knee surgery at the end of last season. He is however working closely with Fitness Coach Steve Haines as he works towards returning to full training. Derby County line-up Vs Belper: Deeney, Garton, Mendy, Buxton, Moxey, Langford, Pringle, Varney, Doyle, Martin, Hulse. Subs: Atkins, Abalimba, Hendrick, O'Brien, Connolly. Kick-off at Christchurch Meadow is at 7:45pm http://www.dcfc.co.uk/page/NewsDetail/0,,10270~2109037,00.html

Alrewas Ram
Went last night, first half we had most of the game as should be expected. It proved a decent run out for Hulse, Jake got a good 90 minutes again. Doyle for an 18 year old impressed at times, as did the triallist Langford who is also 18, we passed it well on what was a pretty ordinary surface really. Mendy struggled a bit, as did Pringle. I think the new system will take time to implement but it could work well this season. Second half really was just 45 minutes of endeavour, nobody standing out. Looking forward to Leeds now, lets get off to a good start and get above the **** , who knows what could happen this season.

Alrewas Ram
Langford is a striker, scored lots of goals last year but it seems the man there at Mansfield likes the ball played in the clouds. So far he has only played as a holding player for us, but Ivan Hollett who brought him over says he is pretty good given an opportunity up front. Last night he just kept giving the ball to players in a white shirt which I thought was quite acceptable. NC is no mug, and if he keeps finding gems that cost nothing, we'll all be happy.
