The former Derby County, Swansea City and Reading boss had only been in charge of the Belgian Pro League A side since July, when he signed a three-year deal. Assistant Nigel Gibbs has also been relieved of his duties, with Jimmy de Wulf and Wouter Artz put in temporary charge.
