I went to see the FA trophy final yesterday.The newly laid pitch appears to be as bad as the previous ones.Players slipping over and turf cutting up everywhere.Its a disgrace really,especially with all the upcoming playoff games.

£8 for burger and chips too.

The FA could be forced to relay the Wembley pitch up to seven times a year until 2023 and face an additional bill of more than £8million.

The loan repayments required to fund the £800m national stadium mean the venue must remain multi-purpose until 2023, which could see the pitch relaid an incredible 91 times.

Wembley receives increased revenue through NFL, rugby league and rugby union matches and pop concerts, but the quality of the football pitch suffers as a result.

Unless an alternative long-term solution is found, the turf will need to be re-laid up to seven times each year, at £90,000 a time. This could result in a bill of up to £8,190,000 over 13 years

you'll get nowhere keep relaying the pitch. youve got to get one down and leave it down so that it beds in properly.

the problem is ,as previously stated by others,is that the owners of Wembley need to get every penny back from the ludicrusly,over-inflated price it took to build Wembley.

so concerts,american football,rugby etc will be there for the foreseeable future im afraid

Haha! did you see that NEP post from the Blackpool fan, asking what the excuses are for losing to Blackpool this time?

HAHA! you couldn't make it up. Bet it's gone now anyway, as he posted in "My Forest" so will be tracked down by Titler and shot at dawn.

Well to be fair League 1 pitches are the best around and thats what the Forest players are used to. You canna blame em for moaning about the pitch.

Not at all, the only excuse for that was we were unlucky in the first half and weak in the second... Just saying, not all league pitches survive the season.
