Jess
BARKER & MARTIN TO HAVE OPS Posted on: Thu 29 Apr 2010 Shaun Barker and David Martin will undergo operations after Derby County's final game of the season against Cardiff City on Sunday. Both players will available for selection against the Bluebirds before undergoing surgery at the start of next week. Central defender Barker will have a minor operation to 'wash out' his knee. This is a proactive step by the Rams to make sure that he is ready for the start of pre-season training at the end of June. On-loan Milwall winger Martin will undergo a similar operation on his ankle, again a proactive move to make sure he is fit for pre-season training. The duo follow Steven Davies, Stephen Pearson and Rob Hulse in undergoing operations in the last fortnight. http://www.dcfc.co.uk/page/NewsDetail/0,,10270~2037730,00.html
