As you know, had the old Wii borrowed indefinatley the other day. The boy wants an Xbox instead.

If you get him an Xbox don't set him up online, or if you do change the privacy settings so he doesnt receive any friend requests, messages, voice messages or hear any of the in game chat. It's full of foul mouth racist American kids, not the sort you would want your kid listening to.

I've blocked the in game chat myself as it's pretty pathetic.

Other than that get an Xbox, they are releasing a Wii style sensor pretty soon as well so you'l be able to buy Wii style games as well. Apparently it uses your body as the remote so your free to flap your arms around.

Finally you could buy him a dart board, set of darts and crate of beer.
