Day
NACER Barazite or Mile Sterjovski could be handed a central midfield role for Derby County today following Paul Green's injury. Green (foot), Miles Addison (foot) and Stephen Pearson (knee) are all out of the clash against Bristol City at Pride Park Stadium leaving manager Nigel Clough to find a partner for Robbie Savage. Clough is also looking at the loan market but it is unlikely anyone will come in for the visit of City. "We are trying to get someone in on loan but it's difficult at this late stage," said Clough yesterday afternoon. "We have made a couple of inquiries anyway this week, so we will just step that up now. "We can actually sign someone up until 10am today, so we have got a bit of time but we are not going to take someone for the sake of it. "We will have a reasonable 11 out against Bristol City, it's just that we are short in midfield." Midfielder Przemyslaw Kazmierczak, on a season-long loan from Porto, has not featured since Paul Jewell's last game as Rams manager against Ipswich on December 28. "He's not in our plans at the moment," said Clough. "Nacer Barazite trained, he's OK so he's more in line for a central midfield role or Mile Sterjovski." Barazite has recovered from the dislocated shoulder he suffered in the victory over Nottingham Forest two weeks ago. Kris Commons has missed the last two games with a calf injury and Clough fears the Scottish international could sit out the next four against Bristol City, Southampton, Sheffield United and Barnsley. "I think he will be pushing it to be back before the international break at the end of the month," said Clough. Nathan Ellington did not play in Wednesday's behind-closed-doors fixture with Peterborough United because of flu but the striker returned to training yesterday. Dean Leacock and Ruben Zadkovich are still out with groin injuries. Striker Liam Dickinson, who played 45 minutes against Peterborough after an ankle problem, trained yesterday but is not quite 100 per cent fit.[url=http://www.thisisderbyshire.co.uk/football/Mile-Nacer-frame/article-753129-detail/article.html]http://www.thisisderbyshire.co.uk/football...il/article.html

vicky-27
Agree there Boycie - thought we were onto a winner after that run - but that must of tired him out - did very little - didn't chase anything and was slow.
